Paste something you copied earlier

Everything you copy is in Klipto, newest first. Pasting one of those items takes about a second.

1. Hold ⌘⌘ (double tap, second one held) or press ⌥⌘V.
2. Move to the item: tap V while holding, or use ↑ ↓.
3. Release the modifier, or press ⏎.

The item is pasted into the app you were in. Klipto does not need to be in front, and the app you are pasting into does not need to know anything about it.

Picking by number

Each row carries a number. Hold the modifier and press ⌘1 … ⌘9 to paste that row directly. There is a setting that lets the bare digits do it too, while the search field is empty.

Shift for a plain paste

Hold ⇧ when you release or click, and the item pastes as plain text: no fonts, no colours, no links.

Right-click a row, or hover it for a moment, to open the preview panel without pasting.
